The founder and CEO of Wireless Toyz, Joe Barbat began his career as an entrepreneur with a single retail kiosk when he was only 17. From that humble beginning, Joe Barbat grew Wireless Toyz into a multimillion-dollar business recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the nation by industry publications like Entrepreneur and Inc. 500. In December 2007, Joe Barbat sold Wireless Toyz to a private equity firm. Wireless Toyz was negatively impacted by a number of factors over the next two years, and Joe Barbat re-acquired the company in order to recoup its potential and return it to prominence as a nationally recognized name. Deeply committed to both his customers and his franchises, Joe Barbat has been studying entrepreneurship since his teen years and cites his father as his greatest inspiration. Joe Barbat also finds the work of Ed Oakley particularly insightful, and he believes in adapting to change and cultivating strong leadership. Moreover, Joe Barbat is equally dedicated to using the success of Wireless Toyz to benefit others. Recently, the company celebrated its 10th anniversary by donating proceeds from phone sales to the Miracle League of Frisco, which offers children with disabilities the chance to play sports. | Joe Barbat Wireless Toyz's Blog | Dec 2, 2010 |
